Terms of Service

Last updated October 10, 2026

These terms set the rules for businesses that post gigs and workers who apply on GigList, including plans, billing, renewals, cancellation and safety.

About these terms

These terms govern your use of giglist.com, run by the administrator of the giglist.com service (we, us). By creating an account you agree to them. Questions go to [email protected].

What GigList is

GigList is an online marketplace where businesses post short paid gigs and workers apply or get matched. GigList is not an employer, staffing agency or party to the agreement between a business and a worker. Each business and worker decides whom to hire or work for and on what terms.

Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract.
  • Give true information and keep your login details safe. You are responsible for activity on your account and your team seats.
  • One person or business may not create accounts to get around plan limits or a suspension.

Posting gigs

  • Gigs must describe real, lawful, paid work with a clear task, place or remote mode, and a budget.
  • You may not ask workers for deposits, fees, purchases of starter kits or any payment up front.
  • You may not post full time jobs disguised as gigs, unpaid trials beyond a short paid test, or adult, discriminatory or misleading content.
  • Businesses are responsible for paying workers as agreed and for their own legal duties, such as worker classification, permits, taxes and insurance where required.

Applying for gigs

  • Workers must describe their skills, experience and availability honestly.
  • Workers agree the rate and terms with the business and are responsible for their own taxes and permits.
  • Ratings are left only after a finished gig and must reflect a real experience.

Plans and billing

  • GigList has no free plan. Businesses choose Poster, Business or Agency. Workers choose Worker Pro. Prices are shown on the pricing page in US dollars.
  • Plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance. The yearly plan costs 50 percent less than twelve monthly payments.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
  • When you move to a bigger plan or from monthly to yearly, the difference for the rest of the period is charged right away and the new limits start at once. Moving to a smaller plan takes effect at the next renewal, with no refund to your card for the current period.
  • Plan limits are counted per billing period. Deleting or closing a gig, an invite or an application does not give the used quota back.
  • GigList charges no fee per gig, per hire or per contract.

Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel any time from your billing page. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for and then stops renewing. Payments already made are not refunded, except where the law requires a refund. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights, including any right to withdraw from a distance contract where it applies, are not affected by these terms.

Safety and reports

Report any gig, profile or message that breaks these terms. We may remove content, limit features or suspend accounts that put others at risk or break these terms, and we tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it.

Content and licences

You keep the rights to content you upload. You give us a licence to host and show it on GigList so the service can work. Agreements about who owns work delivered for a gig are between the business and the worker.

Liability

We work hard to keep GigList available and accurate, but we do not guarantee that a gig will be filled, that a worker is suitable or that a business will pay. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes

We may update these terms. We will tell signed in users about important changes at least 14 days before they apply. If you do not agree, you can cancel before the change takes effect.
