My Bloody Valentine to play their first show in four years at Japan’s Sonicmania Festival

Following on from the recent news that the group is working on a new album, My Bloody Valentine has announced their first show in more than four years. Kevin Shields and the group are listed to play Japan’s Sonicmania festival, which takes place on Friday, August 17 in Tokyo, Japan.  The one-day event is an offshoot of the Summer Sonic Festival. According to their Facebook post, the band is set to share the stage with Nine Inch Nails as a co-headliner.
