Professor Green returns after 4 years with cameos from Emeli Sande and Miles Kane.

As rappers go Professor Green is definitely not stereotypical. From hard-hitting documentaries covering topics such as suicide, poverty, and homelessness, to presenting on Lip Sync Battle UK, he’s kept himself busy during his time away from the music scene. And after 4 years he is back to his love of making music and performing. But he hasn't left his passion for mental health behind as he regularly discusses issues and masculinity in his column for The Book of Man. His latest release: Photographs featuring Rag’n’Bone Man talks about missing the photos he never took of his late father. To coincide with the release he’s embarking on a sold out UK tour in February, so to kick it off he performed a special show at London’s Electric Brixton. It has been 4 years since his last headline show in London so the energy in the room was one of high anticipation. Pro Green started the show as he meant to go on as he was joined by his first guest, Rag’n’Bone Man for his latest single. Throughout the show, there was surprise after surprise as a stellar line up of guests came on stage for his various collaborations. Miles Kane stormed the stage in a Leopard print jacket for 'Are You Getting Enough', while Example wandered on just when you thought the show was about to finish for a slightly intoxicated rendition of Monster. It was clear that Pro was buzzing to be back as he sported a beaming smile through much of the show (apart from when he was calling for his bottle of Tequila!). Wanting to appreciate everyone who had come to watch he took multiple moments throughout to interact with the crowd. After his performance of 'Goodnight', he could have been forgiven for shedding a tear and overwhelmed with the response he took a step back into the darkness to take it all in. Pro paused to wonder if the audience were new fans, old fans or just liked his documentaries. But he needn’t have worried, there was something for everyone from his early material, to his big hits, crossing genres of dubstep, pop, and grime. To complete an epic encore, Pro's final guest Emeli Sande emerged from the wings for their No.1 hit 'Read All About It'. Overall the show felt like we had witnessed something really special. With a new album coming very soon, Professor Green is back where he belongs.
