London trio sign with Virgin EMI and head out on UK tour, this autumn.

Yak have revealed a new single, the rousing 'White Male Carnivore' via their new label home Virgin EMI. This is the first new music we've heard from Yak since they released their debut album Alas Salvation back in 2016. Group leader, Oli Burslem had this to say of it: “I was living in Tokyo, struggling to write and a friend advised me to write from my own point of view. So I wrote this,” he explains. “I listed my diet, my sex and my race - among other things. The three words which made me feel the most uncomfortable were white, male and carnivore. Everything currently seems reductive and polarising. This song is a reflection of that.” Yak kick off their UK tour on 23rd October at The Crescent, York and are scheduled to play 9 more dates across the country. Listen to 'White Male Carnivore' below.
