New Sub Pop signee Orville Peck is due to release his debut LP next year.

Sub Pop has announced the signing of enigmatic Americana singer Orville Peck and shared his debut single 'Big Sky' with an accompanying video. Gazing out from behind a fringed mask, Orville Peck strums and croons - capturing romantic scenes of love, loss and desert road hustlers from the badlands of North America - wired back to us through a classic American country music filter. Peck's first single for 'Big Sky' is a dusty desert road lullaby of Orville’s past conquests, featuring the cinematic characters of an aloof biker, an abusive boxer and an overly protective jailor in the Florida Keys. Intriguing much? Check out 'Big Sky' and the Deni Cheng directed video for the track, which follows Peck as he travels through his version America.
