Some fans are complaining about ticket prices for the upcoming Arctics tour.

With an upcoming tour announced yesterday, Arctic Monkeys have been trending on Twitter today for all the wrong reasons. Some fans of the Sheffield group have been left disappointed by the ticket cost of the latest tour, with some tickets costing as much as £80. Upon announcing the UK tour taking place this September, which includes a stop at the FlyDSA arena in their home city of Sheffield, Arctic Monkeys have left fans debating between themselves about how much it is worth paying the price to see them. One fan commented that it would be more in the spirit of rock'n'roll to go see an upcoming local band than go to an arena show with steep ticket prices.   It was revealed last week that Arctic Monkeys would be releasing their 6th studio album, Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino on 11 May after a 5 year hiatus. News of the upcoming tour was met with both excitement and trepidation by fans about the new steep prices. Ahead of the UK dates in September the band has three months of shows across Europe and North America, including Primavera Sound at the end of May in Barcelona. Tickets for the tour go on sale at 9am on Friday 13 April. See tour dates below.
