Sega Bodega rounds off a landmark 2018 with the announcement of his brand new live show in February. The show takes place at Hoxton Hall, a grade II* listed theatre and music hall built in 1863.
A beguiling interpretation of modern popular music through his own unique lens, Sega Bodega’s recent ‘self*care’ project is a portrait of an artist in creative flux. From the project’s Hannah Diamond-directed art to the music’s creative inspirations, self*care is the sound of one of electronic music’s most gifted talents blazing a trail and challenging preconceptions of what popular music can be.
2018 has seen Sega involved in his highest-profile projects to date. As well as critically acclaimed collaborations with Quay Dash, Brooke Candy, oklou and Shygirl, he scored Nike’s recent Jumpman advert and contributed music to Rihanna’s Puma x Fenty show, while he was selected as part of the prestigious Dazed 100 list alongside the NUXXE collective he co-runs. He recently contributed sound design to Brooke Candy and PornHub’s landmark I Love You, the first adult film to feature full-length gay, lesbian and trans scenes all under one title. His Soundtrack Series show on NTS Radio - a monthly showcase of film and soundtrack music - continues to be one of the station’s most popular shows.
