Brit-Funk Legends famed for 'Dancing In Outer Space" celebrate the 40th anniversary of their seminal debut single.
Atmosfear's 1979 debut single "Dancing in Outer Space" reached the top 50 in the UK singles chart. It's release in the USA co-incided with it being a regular spin at the Paradise Garage, The Loft and Studio 54. It's influence has been felt around the world with DJ's such as Louie Vega, Dimitri from Paris, Joey Negro and more citing it is as one of their favourite tracks.
Further singles included "Motivation/Extract", "Invasion" and 'Xtra Special". Their debut album 'En Trance" (recently re-issued by Mr. Bongo Records)is still highly regarded and came out in 1981 before the band split in 1982.
Co-founder and original bass player Lester Batchelor, lead's the band who recreate the excitement and intrigue of Atmosfear’s own brand of experimental intergalactic British Jazz-Funk.
