More sublime haze with third single "The Dream" from forthcoming LP Expect The Best
Widowspeaks' fourth album Expect the Best is out August 25 on Captured Tracks. The band have shared their sublime third single from the LP "The Dream", a slice of heavenly dream pop. Expect The Best has been recorded as a full band with Hamilton, Thomas, bassist Willy Muse, and drummer James Jano and is the follow up to 2015’s All Yours. Previous Widowspeak albums were made as a duo with lead guitarist and partner Robert Earl Thomas. After spending some time moving around Molly ended up being back up in Tacoma, Washington, her hometown. The new album was mostly conceived here, whilst revisiting her adolescent penchant for 90s alt. Kevin MacMahon (Swans, Real Estate) recorded the band, capturing the dynamics of four people playing in a room together.
