The first wave of artists have been announced for the latest instalment of We Out Here, the festival launched by Gilles Peterson in 2019 which showcases the sort of talent he has routinely championed across his career as a DJ, radio presenter, label boss and festival organiser.

As such, the vibrant London jazz scene is well represented, with the likes of Ezra Collective, Joe Armon-Jones, Steam Down, Emma-Jean Thackray, Alfa Mist, Ashley Henry, Yussef Dayes, and Melt Yourself Down all featuring in the first announcement.

Also confirmed to appear at the festival – taking place from 19-22 August on the rural Cambridgeshire site that was once home to Secret Garden Party – are a diverse array of DJs covering all manner of global club sounds; Sherelle, Call Super, Tash LC, Mr. Scruff, DJ Storm, and Jamz Supernova to name just a few.

The 2021 edition will be the second proper instalment of the festival, with the 2020 edition held ‘online & on air’ as a three-day live-streamed event earlier this year.
