Ventnor Fringe is a week-long festival run by a local record store and creative space Ventnor Exchange in a tiny town on the southern tip of the Isle of Wight. Headlined by acts, Gengahr, Willie J Healey and Do Nothing.

Following the release of their third album Sanctuary in January, Gengahr has hit 2020 running with a more expansive and ambitious sound than ever before. The North London alt-pop four-piece have carved a distinctive sound that will bring a specially created 'pop up' venue by the harbour to life.

Joining them will be Willie J Healey, a young man at the top of his game, with his unique blend of dreamy soft pop, garage-rock and 70's Americana. Also on the bill is post-punk rock, legends in the making, Do Nothing. The distinctive presence of Chris Bailey fronts the band. They are one of most hotly tipped new groups around, with a raft of recently released singles and new EP on the way.

The event transforms this tiny place with a unique vibe. An antidote to sometimes homogenized field events, It's an authentic, DIY experience and perfect summer escape, with the Island just two short hours from London by train.

Ventnor Fringe is an intimate, multi-award-winning arts festival. The festival features gigs, comedy and performances in unusual spaces around the bohemian town and returns for its 11th anniversary from 28th July - 2nd August 2020.

The event initially set up local teenagers from their bedrooms, now hosts over 6,000 visitors each year. Guests explore pop up shows and gigs spanning every creative discipline in an event which merges inspirations like Edinburgh Fringe with Ireland's Other Voices in Dingle.
