For music fans across the globe, the main highlight of the 2018 Oscar award ceremony was when Sufjan Stevens took to the stage to perform an eerie version of his track "Mystery of Love." The Oscar-nominated track featured in Luca Guadagnino's Call Me By Your Name. Accompanying his performance were super-star musicians: St. Vincent, Moses Sumney, Chris Thile, alongside regular Sufjan collaborators Casey Foubert and James McAlister. Noticeably, the 4-minute track was cut short to just two verses, leaving many pondering on Twitter, as to why Sufjan had been limited to such a short slot. "Mystery of Love" is one of the five songs nominated for Best Original Song, alongside "Stand Up for Something" from Marshall, "Mighty River" from Mudbound "Remember Me" from Coco, and a song from Hugh Jackman's circus movie.
