Sigrid Drops New Track 'Raw' ahead of UK Tour

Norway's latest pop export announces UK tour beginning in May.

When it comes to a rising success, there is no better artist to follow at the moment than Sigrid. Her debut single ‘Don’t Kill My Vibe’ released last year was a promising beginning for the Norwegian singer-songwriter, but she hasn’t stopped there. In the last year, Sigrid has showcased her versatility with tender releases such as an acoustic performance of her song ‘Dynamite’. This year she’s been crowned BBC’s Sound of the Year and has already had a UK top 10 hit with ‘Strangers’, which she unveiled late last year. With her brand new single ‘Raw’, Sigrid continues this exhibition of her talent and range. At the song’s core, however, is a blunt message that perhaps serves as a self-evaluation of her success and intentions. When the chorus kicks in, the singer declares “I just wanna be pure, you know I’m terrible at putting up a show” echoing her desire to remain the artist she is rapidly becoming. Judging by the single’s artwork, ‘Raw’ is the first release of weekly material that we will be blessed with for the next month.
