PREMIERE: The Shakamoto Investigation drop frantic video for 'Loch Ness' - watch here
Making a name for themselves on the Leeds DIY circuit before the world went to pot, The Shakamoto Investigation are continuing their mad streak with their new video for 'Loch Ness'.
The vid's VHS/home video aesthetic, complete with footage spliced-up at a break-neck speed compliments an equally frantic track, their second single from recent debut album Existential Bread. Coming it at a hyper-speed 1:27 duration, the track's beer-swilling, babbling vocals and lairy rodeo riffs make for a head-spinning minute or so.
Talking about 'Loch Ness', the trio's drummer Sainty says: "‘Loch Ness’ is my favourite thing we’ve ever done and probably will be for a long time. It’s so fun to play and is utterly ridiculous. One of them that always seems to stick with people. Sam is always MC'ing, it’s etched into his brain. We all think that kind of stuff is punk as fuck, probably more punk as some of these turd fashion punk bands kicking around at the minute. So we tried to incorporate it into a song. I don’t know if it worked or not but I love it nonetheless."
