Joe by the Book have dropped the second track 'Be Somebody', in a series of three singles set for release via Headcount Records

The Leeds-based indie upstarts reveal the smooth, laidback Chicano soul and Latin-infused track alongside an accompanying music video, which sees the four-piece judging a hapless contestant at a socially distanced open mic contest.

Led by multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Ed Allen, there are echoes of Django Django in Joe by the Book, if they'd decided to explore Latin American music rather than psych-pop territory that is. The series of three singles marks the band's first new music since the release their 2020 full-length 100 Years with live dates expected later this year when live music eventually returns.
