Despite the disarray live music finds itself in at present, there's still cause for optimism that next year things will be very different. With the demand for gigs and festivals likely being stratospheric, Pearl Jam are making up for lost time by announcing two separate headline shows for British Summer Time in Hyde Park next July.

Being joined once again by Pixies on Friday 9th July, Eddie Vedder and co have revealed Bristol punks and recent UK album chart-toppers IDLES will support on the Saturday after.

Not getting the opportunity to promote their 11th studio album Gigaton, released back in March, the Seattle grunge icons will double-down with their festival headline expertise in the capital. Considering their headline festival appearance due to take place this summer sold out in a few days, the news will surely go down well.

More support acts are sure to be announced in the coming months, alongside other headliners for the 2021 run of Hyde Park shows, so stay tuned.

Tickets to 2021's British Summer Time in Hyde Park, go on sale 10th October.
