LA based Hell-raiser's to play handful of UK dates - debut LP out this month.

Self confessed metal-heads, Starcrawler are a young band hailing from Los Angeles who are about to bring heavy-rock back with a crash, bang and a wallop. Already having garnered lavish praise from Elton John and Dave Grohl the band are due to drop their debut LP on the 19th January via Rough Trade Records. The self-titled LP features Ryan Adams as producer, see the video for their debut single "Ants" below. The hype surrounding the young band, whose oldest member is 22 focals as much on their savage, high-octane live show as their fast and furious glam-punk songs. Seventies vibes ahoy, their own take on classic rock from that era shoots through a filter of T Rex glam rock, 70's horror punk and Sabbath esq heavy metal. Reminscent of both Black Sabbath and The Runaway's, two influences lead vocalist Arrow de Wilde has cited as inpirational to the formation of her band as she explains;
I found out I wanted to do music when I found Ozzy. I didn't really know that much about Black Sabbath; then I heard Blizzard of Oz and became obsessed with that album.
Don't miss the band on their fleeting UK and Europe dates before they hop back over the pond to the U.S. They play Manchester this evening at the Deaf Institute, London on the 18th at Omeara and Bristol, Thekla 20th January.
