With society at a standstill, and it's likely to be a very different world once we're on the other side of the Coronavirus pandemic. Unfortunately, many people's businesses and livelihoods will fall through the cracks with those working in the music industry especially affected. At present, 556 independent music venues across the UK are at risk of closure. It's a dire situation with government support now exhausted.

Those in need now require the music community - artists, fans, anybody involved in music in any capacity - to come together like never before, and here's how you can help your local grassroots venues survive; today Music Venue Trust have launched a major initiative to save grassroots music venues on the brink. Adored independent venues like London's MOTH CLUB, Sheffield's The Leadmill, Bristol's Louisiana, and Brighton's The Hope & Ruin have all joined the #saveourvenues campaign, with plenty more venues hoping to secure their futures.

In conjunction with the initiative, a new website has launched with details of how you can donate to your favourite grassroots venues at www.saveourvenues.co.uk

If we band together throughout these challenging times, we can help those venues we hold dear survive. #saveourvenues
