It's that time of the year again and this year's short-list for the Mercury Prize 2017 has been revealed. The prestigious Mercury Prize is awarded to best British Album of the past year, it is judged by a panel of music critics and industry figures. Judges for this year include Lianne La Havas, Marcus Mumford, Jessie Ware and Radio 1’s Clara Amfo. The ceremony takes place on 14th September at London’s Hammersmith Apollo.
Previous Mercury winners The XX who previously won the 2010 award with their debut album are again nominated this time with I See You. They’re joined on the shortlist by Stormzy, Glass Animals, Sampha, Loyle Carner and more. View the full list below.
