An 18 Track compilation album featuring Johnny Marr, Maxine Peake, Peter Hook, and more released via vibrant new Manchester label, 42’s Records, to raise funds for charity MancSpirit - Greater Manchester’s Mental Wellbeing Charity. 100% of the proceeds from sales go to MancSpirit.

The 18 track album will raise funds for MancSpirit, Greater Manchester’s Mental Wellbeing Charity. Created & curated by Ben Guy from the band narcissus and brought to life by Manchester’s newest record label, 42’s Records, to raise funds for the charity MancSpirit in support of their Creative Change Homeless Project.

Released via vibrant new Manchester label, 42’s Records, the album was curated by Ben Guy of the band narcissus and features contributions from a mix of outright Manchester legends including Peter Hook (MANRAy), Johnny Marr & Maxine Peake, Gaz Whelan & Rowetta, Brix and The Extricated as well as newer fast-rising Manchester-based artists including Déjà Vega, Narrow Margin, IST IST, LIINES and many more. There is also a track from the legendary BBC Radio DJ Mark Radcliffe under his Electronic alter ego project with Paul Langley – UNE.

Whilst the primary objective was to raise funds, Ben was determined that it should also be a cohesive body of work, featuring a diverse array of talent, at all levels of the Manc music scene, from bona fide Legends through to new artists and including many genres.

Brimming with individual native and adopted Manc talent, the album comes packaged in beautifully fitting artwork, designed by the 9th artist, local designer and photographer, Paul Evans AKA painted.papillon.smile., referencing classic Mancunian imagery and reshaping it into an iconic package which unites the contents.
