Group to release new album, Used To Yesterday, due out 13th July via Slumberland Records.

New Zealand band Smokescreens have announced the release of forthcoming LP Used To Yesterday, which is due out 13th July via Slumberland Records. Today, they've shared a jangly new single 'Someone New' featured on their upcoming sophomore LP. The group have a beachy garage-pop sound will go down well with fans of Beach Fossils, The Chills and The Clean. Band leaders, Chris Rosi and Corey Cunningham met and became friends when the pair toured together with their bands Plateaus and Terry Malts back in 2011. Since then, both moved to Los Angeles and hooked up to form Smokescreens. Last year, the group released their self-titled debut LP on Cunningham's own label, Parked In Hell which they recorded in a disused dairy farm and mixed to mono. Check out 'Someone New' below.
