King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard have revealed details of new album LW, their 17th studio effort and the companion piece to last year's KG

It's not exactly a surprising announcement given their ridiculously prolific output, but the more Gizz the better. With the new album set for digital release next Thursday (25th February) they've also dropped the video to new single 'Pleura' alongside the album news.

Talking about LW, frontman and axeman Stu Mackenzie attempts to dispel the perception of the band as psychedelic scientists: “We're actually probably not as considered as people think that we are, I’m always just trying to be in the band that I want to be in. But I’m also trying to be the band that I wish I could follow as a fan; so we’re both of those things at the same time. And I think that’s where my decision making lies: I’m always asking, what is the most fun thing we can do? If there’s a strategy at all, then it’s that.”
