Khruangbin reveal new single 'Time (You And I)' alongside details for upcoming album
Fusing elements from Thai-funk, Middle-Eastern psychedelia and even retro hip-hop, Khruangbin's hard-to-pin down aesthetic is arguably their most defining characteristic. And it's likely why they've become one of contemporary music's most revered cult music sensations.
Slated for release on 26th June via Dead Oceans, the Texan trio have revealed the artwork for third album Mordecai, alongside their new single 'Time (You And I)'.
Continuing their trend of featuring more vocals to embellish their unique instrumentation, the accompanying music video (see above) sees sharply-dressed British comedian Stephen K Amos strutting around a rainy city building impromptu sandcastles.
It's a glorious track of infectious shoulder-shimmying, and perhaps indicates the soulful, percussive classic-funk direction that will make up Mordecai. Let's hope.
