She joins forces with Michael Kiwanuka for KENZO’s new short film starring Dirty Beaches' Alex Zhang Hungtai

Karen O has revealed a new song called “YO! MY SAINT,” feat Michael Kiwanuka. It's a soundtrack for KENZO’s new Spring/Summer campaign film. The visual was directed by Ana Lily Amirpour and stars Dirty Beaches’ Alex Zhang Hungtai, who plays a love-sick fashion photographer. A press release describes the theme of KENZO’s Spring/Summer collections as being inpired by “two historic muses”: composer Ryuichi Sakamoto and famed Japanese model Sayoko Yamaguchi. Karen O exolains how the film’s story line sparked ideas of “Asian melodrama” within her. “For the music, I immediately wanted to do melodramatic and romantic and with lots of yearning and high stakes—all the good stuff that’s in any Korean soap opera,” she says.
