Sub Pop has announced the signing of enigmatic Americana singer Orville Peck and shared his debut single 'Big Sky' with an accompanying video. Gazing out from behind a fringed mask, Orville Peck strums and croons - capturing romantic scenes of love, loss and desert road hustlers from the badlands of North America - wired back to us through a classic American country music filter.
Peck's first single for 'Big Sky' is a dusty desert road lullaby of Orville’s past conquests, featuring the cinematic characters of an aloof biker, an abusive boxer and an overly protective jailor in the Florida Keys. Intriguing much?
