French post-punk group to release Advertisement EP via FatCat Records this Friday, set to play London headline show in May.
FatCat Records have announced their latest signing - MNNQNS (pronounced Mannequins). MNNQNS hailing from Rouen, France consist of Adrian D'Epinay (vocals & guitar), Grégoire Mainot, Félix Ramaën and Marc Lebreuilly. Brought together by a shared love of old post-punk, the group take influence from heavyweights like Sonic Youth, The Fall and Television. With their raw guitar lines and frenetic energy on record, fans of Preoccupations, OMNI, King Gizzard will be drooling over this quartet.
Forming around Rouen’s burgeoning underground music scene, lead singer and founding member Adrian had already spent time in the UK after moving to Wales to study in Cardiff. It is here that Adrian became distracted from his studies by the magnetic draw of going to shows and watching live music. His time in the UK transpired as essential to what the band is now, “It had such an impact on the way I write songs, and even the way I hear music now” explains Adrian.
Today, they've shared the pummeling lead track 'If Only They Could' which features on their upcoming EP,
