IDLES join Wide Awake 2021 for exclusive afternoon set

Shame, Kikagaku Moyo, Black Country, New Road, The Murder Capital, KOKOROKO and more are also heading to London's Brockwell Park for what's shaping up to be the best day-festival lineup you'll see all summer.

Wide Awake 2021, the brand spanking day-festival held in London's Brockwell Park, is shaping up to be the most interesting lineup you'll see this summer. Especially with their latest announcement:

IDLES join the lineup for an exclusive afternoon set, with the popular post-punks playing two live shows in one day - after their Wide Awake performance they'll be heading straight back to Bristol for a hometown show at Clifton Downs, which feels fairly typical of the notoriously hard-working and grafting band. 

Other artists revealed as part of Wide Awake's latest lineup announcement are Shame, Kikagaku Moyo, Black Country, New Road, The Murder Capital, Altin Gün, Goat Girl, KOKOROKO, Tiña, Los Bitchos and more jumping on the bill that already includes the likes of black midi, Dream Wife, TinariwenDaniel AverySonghoy BluesA Certain Ratio, and Boy Harsher.

It's unclear who will actually headline the underground festival, but already it's looking like a dead certainty for the summer schedule.
