Holy Wave play us their essential tour bus listens, ahead of new LP release.
Austin garage-psych group, Holy Wave, are due to release their third LP Adult Fear on 30th March, via The Reverberation Appreciation Society. Upon hearing the LP preview, it's a certain godsend here in the UK where spring has been colder than December and we're all waiting for the sun - Adult Fear is a hazy ray - a glimpse of sunshine and about as close as we're going to get to it for now. Indicating a musical progression for the group, Adult Fear sees the Austin quintet exploring electronic elements within their own particular garage-psych brand. Expect hazy synths and tripped out melodies as their signature sound delves into kaleidoscopic terrain. Until the album drops, take a listen to Holy Wave's top five tour bus tracks. After countless International tours and releases since 2009, Holy Wave, have certainly made tour bus veteran status. We asked them to put together a playlist of their favourite go-to tracks on tour. The songs which have helped them get through the neverending next-stops, the songs that keep them buoyed, or help bring them down after the post-show buzz. Holy Wave had this to say:"It's actually really hard to make a list like this because we spend so many hours in our van listening to music. As individuals we go through musical phases and as a group we do, this list is more or less a list of songs that we became obsessed with as a whole, singing them together, constantly, in and out of the van, creating inside jokes about them, and probably annoying the people around us with them. It's a short version though, there are many more where they came from."Take a listen below, Adult Fear is due 30th March for more info see here.
