Estonian five-piece Holy Motors announce forthcoming debut LP, Listen to new single "Honeymooning"
Estonian exports, Holy Motors, are a five-piece psychedelic shoegaze band featuring three guitarists. We've previously heard their twangy reverb laden music on their Heavenly Creatures 7" dropped in 2012 and earlier this year they released much of the same with a second 7" Sleeprydr.
Slow Sundown the bands forthoming debut LP is due out Febuary 9th via Wharf Cat Records. The 8 track album was produced by Merchandise's Carson Cox at Brooklyn's Kutch1 Studios whilst the band were visiting the U.S.
While the guitar lines from lonely cowboy ballads like “Honeymooning” could easily serve as the central themes for unwritten Morriccone scores, or a Mazzy Star b-side, dystopian anthems like the the rhythmically propelled “Signs” break new ground for the band and demonstrate that Holy Motors are not bound by their influences.
