Crack Cloud Drop Snaggy New Single 'Tunnel Vision'
Canadian collective Crack Cloud have just dropped 'Tunnel Vision', the third offering from forthcoming debut studio album PAIN OLYMPICS.
Driven by a motorik beat and jagged with serrated and angular art-rock guitars, halfway through the track pierces through to a soaring and chaotic new level, ending on dystopian growls and crowd screams. The accompanying video, made by the collective along with guest cinematographer, is as you might expect a trip in itself.
The Vancouver band have taken the post-punk community by storm on both sides of the Atlantic since the release of their 2018 EPs, effortlessly filling out gigs and showcases such as The Great Escape Festival last year. As its title suggests, PAIN OLYMPICS is said to focus on the understanding of pain and misery as inherent to the human experience, and how embracing this viscerally and head on can be freeing and empowering.
'Tunnel Vision' follows eclectic singles 'The Next Fix' and 'Ouster Stew', the latter of which has enjoyed significant BBC Radio 6 Music airtime.
Pain Olympics is out 17th July on Meat Machine.
