As the rain continues to fall in North London, Chloe Foy performs intimately along with a three-piece string section. The show launches Foy's March tour and celebrates her recently released EP Callous Cooper at one of London's most chic new venues, Pinups.

Pinups may not be at capacity, but the arrangement of Chloe Foy leading her string section including, violin, viola and cello command the room's attention instantly. She amazes with a stunning vocal range arguably more deserving of an even grander stage. The crowd slightly awkward as Foy makes her first attempts to chat between songs as she tunes a new guitar. These moments are all but fleeting as Foy introduces her EP, Callous Cooper and her brand of tender yet intense melodic indie-folk music.

Foy doesn't shy away from being honest as she covers for a few technical hitches throughout the set. Her audience wholly bewitched while they patiently await the next song. She states her music is the product of grief, but she doesn't dwell, she smiles and begins to pluck her guitar. Her lyrics refreshing yet cryptic, a bright spark within a sombre presentation.

Since moving from Gloucestershire to Manchester in 2014, Chloe has gone from strength to strength. The release of her single 'Asylum', accumulated over 6 million plays on Spotify, as well as earning praise and airtime from the likes of NPR Radio's Bob Boilen and BBC 6Music's Steve Lamacq. In Spring 2019 she completed a successful headline UK tour followed by festival shows at Greenman and Cambridge Folk Festival.
