FOREVER CULT // CASTLE HOTEL , MANCHESTER // £6 ADV // JULY 6TH FOREVER CULT are Leeds based Fuzzed-up Grunge Poppers signed to Clue Records. “Searing riffs and snarling vocals… Ear-splitting tunes” – NME "Reminiscent of The Jesus Lizard. They share something of Eagulls' tendency to leave no stone unturned in their quest for eardrum-belching sound." – CLASH Magazine "Inhabiting the sludgier end of the grunge spectrum with frontman Kieran working between a mellow slacker drawl up to Taz-esque levels of vocal turmoil." - Drowned In Sound   THE GORIES // THE MAGNET, LIVERPOOL // £15 ADV // 13TH JULY "The best garage band in America since the '60s. Very primitive…they made people with Les Pauls and Marshall amps look like idiots." - Jack White The Gories began in the cultural vacuum of Detroit in 1986. With humble beginnings at a community concert series through a tumultuous end on their 1992 European tour, this is a band whose influence has far outstretched the ground they covered. Rooted in the primal, primitive underpinnings of 50's rhythm and blues and unhinged 60s garage punk, the sound they came to was wholly their own. While band members Mick Collins and Dan Kroha would go on to wider recognition in the Dirtbombs and Demolition Dolls Rods respectively, the Gories should be viewed in the same influential context as the Velvet Underground and the Cramps. While they may have barely sold any records, the folks that saw and heard these bands were inspired to create. It's high time the Gories get their due.   FLEETWOOD MAC PARTY // KOMEDIA, BRIGHTON // £5 ADV // JULY 14TH The ultimate Fleetwood Mac party celebrating the anniversaries of Rumours and Tango in the Night! See you on the dance floor. 70s or 80s attire encouraged.   FREE MONEY // BIRTHDAYS, DALSTON // FREE ENTRY // 19TH JULY FREE MONEY RELASE THEIR DEBUT SINGLE ‘I WANT IN’ AND ARE THROWING A PARTY TO CELEBRATE. See them play live at Birthdays on 19 July 2017. “Beginning to rock the boat with their vibrant, punchy sound.” - The Line of Best Fit “They look set for stardom.” - Gigwise “A band already supremely confident in themselves.” - DIY Having only played a handful of shows since their genesis in May 2016, Free Money have already kicked up a storm, demanding attention from the likes of DIY and The Line of Best Fit .   DEAP VALLY // THE VENUE, DERBY // £11 ADV // 21ST JULY Lindsey Troy and Julie Edwards met in a crochet class in 2011 (no lie), and have since then melted faces and blown minds all over the world, touring with Queens of the Stoneage, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, DIIV, Band of Skulls, the Vaccines, Marilyn Manson, Muse, Peaches, Babes in Toyland, and Mumford and Sons, appearing on Jools Holland, and playing festivals from Glastonbury to Austin Psych Fest to Splendor in the Grass all over the world on the wings of their 2013 debut album SISTRIONIX. Deap Vally's high fidelity recording approach reproduces the soul of their live performance, capturing the raw energy and sex appeal that oozes from the stage. Little instrumentation, BIG SOUND. That is the magic of Deap Vally. In 2016, Deap Vally released album number two (album title is still top secret), produced by Nick Zinner of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, featuring tracks ranging from experimental prog and kraut-rock to good old-fashioned heart-melters and ball-busters.   YASSASSIN + MANY MORE ACTS // NOZSTOCK FESTIVAL, HEREFORDSHIRE // £125 ADV // 21ST -23RD JULY Five-piece firehouse Yassassin’s no filler, all killer formula is dynamically bulletproof. Inspired by a combined love of Le Tigre, PJ Harvey and The Breeders, Yassassin pride themselves on making energetic dance-on-the-table indie rock ‘n’ roll. Melodic, catchy pop perfection is personified through ramblingly loud guitars, trembling bass lines and drums that barge their way into your bones with or without your permission.   JAWS & PINS ALL DAY FESTIVAL // PIT PARTY, SECRET HACKNEY WAREHOUSE // £20 ADV // 22ND JULY All day pit party festival to shake the bones. Highlights of the tour include headlining Rock Zerkegem Fest in Bruges on July 22nd, and a three night residency in London at Shacklewell Arms. White Fang is touring in support of their new album ‘Chunks’ which was produced by Bobby Harlow for Burger Records. The first single on the record – Bong Rip – features a video that was directed by Workaholics’ Kyle Newacheck, and was shot largely in the group’s Los Angeles lifestyle-boutique GnarBurger (a partnership between White Fang’s own label Gnar Tapes and Fullerton’s Burger Records). The full-time-freaks also have an affinity for directing their own videos, as evident in the bizarre video for the second single Wrecked. Most recently, the boys teamed up with horror film-maker Nesto to create the cinematic and psychedelic video Drugs I’ve Taken – which also features background music composed by White Fang’s guitarist Unkle Funkle as well as a chopped and screwed tune by the group’s sister-band The Memories.   BLOODY KNEES + BIRDSKULLS + MORE ACTS // NOT DONE ALL DAYER @ SEBRIGHT ARMS, LONDON // FREE ENTRY // 29TH JULY LINE UP: BLOODY KNEES BIRDSKULLS NERVOUS CONDITIONS HIGH-VIS WAYDE GURU Bloody Knees are described by Noisey as “one of the gnarliest, most hard-working and reckless crews in British music”, Bloody Knees have quite the reputation. Raise your devil horns up in the air and get witness greatness   GOAT // O2 BRIXTON ACADEMY // £29.50 ADV // 29TH JULY On Saturday 29th July, London's O2 Academy Brixton will play host to the mysterious and heavily psychedelic masked Swedish band GOAT, who'll be joined on the evening by a number of very specials guests.
